Hawaii

On Tuesday the 5th my new friend(Christine) enticed me by asking if I would like to go to HI with her if she could get an extra buddy pass. I only could think of John because he had never been so I figured he would be hesitant to let me go but he said yes immediately! I love my boo! The whole buddy pass thing is kinda tricky...our names were in a system but we were on standby and had to get lucky every time. Friday the 8th we made it on the first flight from SD to Maui and then waited in Maui for the next flight to Oahu..that took a while, but the wait was worth it because we flew over in first class. Finally we arrived and took a taxi to our hotel. That night we walked around Waikiki and got reacquainted. We ate Thai food at Keo's and passed out when we returned. The next day was the whole reason we had come..The wedding...I did not know the people getting married but it was very beautiful and a fun time. We went to the beach afterward and then to Bucca de Beppo...Man they give you alot of food..and it makes you fall asleep quick! The next day we set out on a little road trip around the island to go visit the North Shore and Waimea Bay. We stopped at a shrimp shack for lunch that was absolutely delicious. Waimea bay was absolutely gorgeous and the water felt great and the matsumotos shaved ice was better then I remember from six years ago! LOL! We headed back a little later than planned but I made it just in time to meet the Cachero family to go to dinner. It is always the greatest when old friends get together! Sadly it was too short but John, Lainey, and myself will be back soon! We got home and packed up since our flight left at 1pm the next day! We went to breakfast at Mac 24/7 and they know how to make pancakes...they are ginormous...we barely dented them. Thanks to Bonnie(Christine's friend-in photo) for bringing us there. On to the airport...we were very nervous because the friend that had got us the buddy passes told us the chances and they were slim:( Yet again we got lucky and made it and also got first class for the entire trip home! Wow what a treat! The treat you like Queens and Kings and you can recline with your feet up...That was the best thing for the preggo ladies! Big thanks to all that made that weekend happen(Christine,Cher,Bonnie,Ashley, Mailin, Dave and Kia)! John picked us up and brought flowers! What an awesome hubby! Especially since he let me go enjoy myself and have a vacation before our little girl arrives!
